Tech Notes :: Eat, Sleep, Hack... (EN)

This chapter is a technical log documenting ongoing hardware development, electronics projects, and software work.
Lately, I’ve been dabbling in web development on a whim, so I’ve been handling CI/CD on my own—including for this blog. If there’s something you don’t understand, please don’t ask this old-timer—either look it up yourself or ask at AI. AI To make it easier to ask questions, this website generates an [llms.txt](https://teamknox.com/llms.txt) file during setup, and the English version generates an [llms.txt](https://teamknox.com/en/llms.txt) file. If you enter that into AI(instead of Gemini), it will serve as a guide to this site. It might not give you a direct answer, but it should provide related information, so if you follow that lead, your understanding will deepen and your insight will become clearer.

I’ll introduce the various gadgets I’ve acquired so far and explain how to get the most out of them.
I want to live surrounded by my favorite gadgets… It’s fun to use them as-is, but it’s also fun to put a little extra effort into them—and I think that’s how you really master them. If you go the extra mile, you can even “hack” them—and even though it’s not the intended use, you end up thinking, “Actually, this isn’t so bad, is it?”For example, the Fosi Audio VOL20 is a Bluetooth-connected jog dial used to adjust volume. But as an old-timer, I control the volume directly via Babyface pro fs, so I don’t necessarily need that function. That’s why I’ve hacked this volume control and repurposed it for tuning the frequency on SDR. That’s the kind of thing I want to do—mastering all kinds of gadgets like this!!

I wonder if my interest in radio waves and other radio-related topics began with BCL back in middle school? When I started middle school, my parents bought me a National Couger RF2200.
After that, my interests shifted to microcomputers, and I drifted away from radio-related topics. Even so, as PCs became more powerful, broadband receivers that could be controlled by a PC started to appear, but they were too expensive for me to buy.

I’ve been using the Apple][ and Personal Computer—which I received as a gift to celebrate my admission to the National College of Technology in exchange for not going on to university. The Apple][ was released around 1977, and I entered the National College of Technology in 1982, so I’ve been using them for about 45 years.Just as I don’t remember how many slices of bread I’ve eaten, I’ve completely forgotten how many PC s I bought, when I bought them, and what I mainly used them for.

Command Center of the Secret Base “The Base"—a term brimming with “middle-schooler” vibes—refers to a long-standing way of organizing PC-centered gadgets. It also describes an efficient layout for PCs and gadgets. The main components consist of Deck, Desk, Display,Sub PC, and Misc. These elements will be explained individually.
A pressing issue Basically, these are tips for creatively mounting various devices on an Erecta desk to improve usability and storage efficiency. Since I’m an old-timer with no means of my own, my place is pretty cramped. I’m just grateful to have a room of my own, and in such a small space, I have no choice but to maximize storage efficiency.

Background and Context I don’t remember exactly how many times I’ve built my own website, but I think the very first one was around 2000, when I started with something like tripod.com. Back then, I was just typing HTML directly into the browser. Later, even after I registered a domain, I ended up doing something similar to typing HTML directly, and eventually built the site using WordPress. Even with that, though, I gave up on it because of security issues and the lack of continuity with the theme…
