An Old-Timer’s End-of-Life Planning / Old Guy’s Works

It looks like he’s busy with AI and home security.

I thought I’d have plenty of free time once I quit my job, but that hasn’t really been the case. I bought MiniPC and MacBook Neo before prices went up due to the AI boom. When I switched my mobile number to Rakuten, I was able to buy a Samsung Galaxy A25 5G for just 1 yen. And right now, you can get a 3D printer for just under 30,000 yen.I’ve been watching MLB and NBA on Amazon Prime since this morning. Since I’m an unemployed old-timer with no money, I can’t subscribe to DAZN. Since NPB is only available on commercial TV, I’ve actually become more knowledgeable about MLB—which I can watch every day—than about basketball… As you can see, there are plenty of ways to kill time. Amid all this, the recent rise of (generative) AI has been truly eye-opening. Personal projects that I previously couldn’t complete due to software implementation hurdles are now being accomplished one after another—and all without spending a dime. I launched this site partly as a form of redemption and partly as a repository for technical notes I’ve never organized before, as well as the new knowledge I’ve gained through AI.

This is a portal site featuring technical notes (Tech) and daily thought logs (Blog) from an old-timer who’s preparing for the end of his life and just looking for something to do. Please take a look here for a humorous look at the career of this old-timer.
