SMC-PAD Pocket

M-Vave I hardly ever see this company anywhere other than AliExpress, but since it’s just a little cheaper, I couldn’t help but be tempted. Plus, the Finger Drum Research Institute gave it a high rating, and since the price was low, I went ahead and bought it—influencers really do matter. The great thing about this is simply that it’s physically small. It’s a perfect fit for a desktop with limited space. Plus, it’s Bluetooth midi. That’s right—it connects wirelessly to devices. “But, hmm, I wonder? The technical compliance certification is a bit…”—that’s the vibe I get. Well, if I take it apart and find there’s no external antenna, and the ESP32 or whatever package has a mark like the one on the post office logo, there’s a slim chance I could use it without any issues—but I’m not quite motivated to try it yet…

I think it’s the perfect device to keep in the corner of my desk so I can play some finger drumming whenever I feel like it (even though I can’t actually do it)…
