tripod.com

Lately, I’ve been really into building websites, and as I was thinking about where it all started, the topic of “1” came up in a conversation with “0.” Since I’m a PC enthusiast, I got into the Internet relatively early on, but this tripod.com seems to have really taken off around 1998. I was posting my work on this site around 2000. And apparently, I was still working on 2026/4 until quite recently. If I’d been lucky, I might have been able to salvage it, but it’s too little, too late now.

Let me try to recall what kind of content I used to post there. Well, it’s not hard to imagine that I was posting projects just like I do now. Back then, I was constantly developing things related to Gameboy and even had a regular column in Game Lab. I posted simple games and examples of how to use the technology. I think it was right around the time I was transitioning from BOSCH to NOKIA…

Technology changes, and I’m getting older. It’s the way of the world that new technologies keep emerging and old ones get replaced—there’s no point in worrying about it. Well, I don’t know how long this site will last, but based on what I’ve learned so far, I’ve tried to build in mechanisms to keep it going throughout the site.
