  　The Phillies put up a good fight in the MLB Wild Card game (though they were unfortunately eliminated), and Philadelphia serves as the setting for Season 4 of the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher. When you think of Philadelphia, you can’t help but think of the famous Philly cheesesteak sandwich (hereinafter referred to as “cheesesteak”), which has become a staple of stadium cuisine at the Phillies’ home stadium. In fact, in Reacher Season 4, the protagonist is seen tucking into one at the beginning and end of the series, and it appears frequently throughout the show as well. Because of this, my old-timer’s mind has been completely taken over by thoughts of it. I can’t help but wonder if there’s a place in Yokohama that serves this…
  

  　Since it’s within walking distance of my house, I could go there directly, or I could visit on one of my designated foodie days,” but my wife and I decided to stop by on our way home from an event at Pacifico Yokohama. The restaurant’s design has a distinct American diner vibe, and the well-worn furnishings really enhance that atmosphere.I heard that the owner, who studied abroad in Philadelphia, opened the place because he wanted to run an American diner in this style.
  

  　I ordered a cheesesteak, of course, and my wife ordered a 150g beef rib-cap steak. Both were served flawlessly and brought to our table. I could feel the generous amount of cheese being absorbed by my tired, hungry body.Wash it down with a beer, and it feels just like lunch after a day game at the stadium—it doesn’t matter whether the Phillies won or lost. My wife said she was satisfied with her steak as well. Unfortunately, as an old-timer, I don’t know what the authentic taste is like, but I was satisfied with the food here, and the steak was delicious. I’ll probably come back when I’m in the mood for a cheesesteak. They accept all major credit cards.
