Hardware
Here, we’ll introduce the hardware components used.
| Samsung Galaxy A25 5G | Description |
|---|---|
| This is an Android smartphone I got for 1 yen when I switched carriers via Rakuten. Compared to iPhones, Android smartphones have fewer restrictions on device connectivity and are easier to work with, so I recommend that anyone who enjoys electronics projects get one. Since this one is made by Samsung, there’s plenty of information available, so I highly recommend it. |
| RTL-SDR BLOG V4 | Description |
|---|---|
This is the main hardware component of this project. It incorporates all the necessary functions as a “SDR.” |
| USB Coiled Cable | Description |
|---|---|
| I suppose any USB cable will work as long as it connects, but since appearance matters too, I’ll go with this one. It’s also a good idea to add a standard cable, since it’s easier to route. Also, as mentioned on the mechanics page, the Type-A female connector passes through a hole at the bottom of the bracket, so if you plan to use a cable other than the one included here, be sure to check the dimensions of the bracket’s hole. |
