SDR Development Kit
SDR, which started trending on 𝕏, has something about it that really catches my eye. Apparently, people have started getting terrestrial digital and BS broadcasts using that development kit. It seems they managed to get it working after running Codex for four hours. For a no-spend guy,” it’d probably take a week.
Prices range from low to high. Generally, they’re between 12,000 and 25,000 yen. What I’m looking for is a model like the TX/RX—one that has two channels, comes in a case, and includes network connectivity and a MicroSD slot. Compared to the cheapest option, that’s about 10,000 yen more… I can’t think of any other use for it. The frequency range is from 60 MHz to 6 GHz. Since I don’t get good reception at home, this TV tuner project is pretty much a given. How much work would it take—or is it even feasible—to build a tuner without spending any money? I’m not quite sure… Anyway, the chip used on this board is the Zynq. That’s the one developed in Israel. Well, maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep it around as a memento…
