When it comes to pull-up equipment, I feel like a high horizontal bar—one you can’t reach without jumping—is more effective than the typical hanging bars designed for old-timers.

That horizontal bar is located just the right distance away for a run. Although the conditions were ideal, there was one reason I really didn’t want to do it there: there were a lot of mosquitoes. Other than that, it was really perfect for filming, and there was rarely any conflict with others over the use of that bar. And sure enough… there were no mosquitoes. Come to think of it, there were very few in my home’s parking lot, too. Normally, I’d get bitten while waiting in line for the automated parking garage. To top it all off, I never even ended up using the mosquito repellent mat I bought for this season. Since it was supposed to last 180 days, I felt like it was a bit of a waste…
