Today's Conversation with AI - llms.txt

The site is gradually taking shape. Well, I still haven’t quite managed to set up SEO yet, so it’s currently in a state where it’s “still showing my old face.” This site does have a strong resemblance to the Maker site. I believe the true purpose of Maker is to present my own works to the world. In other words, I hope people will relate to them, recreate them, and enjoy them together with me.

This site is also aiming for that. So, I thought about what I could do to improve that reproduction rate. What came up during my conversation with the AI was llms.txt. There are various ways to train an AI individually, but this method is relatively easy to use and, if it works, can be quite effective. Since this site is SSG, generated by hugo, it’s a good fit (though I wrote that a while back—a week ago, it was ?…).llms.txt converts site information into plain text, making it accessible for reference. In other words, it’s information intended to be read by AI. I wondered if I could make use of this. Currently, the most challenging project on this site is Trinity. I tried to write it in reasonable detail, but precisely because it’s so detailed, some parts can be difficult to understand.llms.txt incorporates this information as well. Users who want to reproduce the results should feed llms.txt into their own AI and ask a relevant question—AI should then guide them to a solution, right?

So I gave it a try. Specifically, this time I integrated it into Contact and set it up so that when a query is made, it redirects the response to AI.AI Depending on the URL,teamknox.com/llms.txt may or may not work. To give some examples,ChatGPT worked, while Gemini did not.Gemini seems to have a high token limit (though I get the impression it quietly breaks down as you use it), but I can’t help but feel it still has a long way to go in this regard…

Once it has actually finished loading, it provides reasonably accurate answers to questions. I have a feeling this will become an essential feature of the Maker site in the future.
